The most exciting and challenging aspect of this kitchen was the space-planning portion of the project. The kitchen of this residence was originally a large galley kitchen, completely closed off from the rest of the second floor living space.

The original lay out of this Wilmette kitchen was kept if tact. The stain chosen for the cabinets in this Wilmette kitchen helped set the tone for the remaining design options. Once the deep, rich cherry finish won over the client's original concept of white, an opportunity opened to brighten the space up with silver sea green granite countertops and whimsical glass backsplash tiles set on a 45 degree angle.
