The owners of this contemporary home came into Atria looking for a complete kitchen remodel. Their existing kitchen needed updating so that it was in harmony with the rest of the house, which was modern and warm, full of soft, reflected light and warm color tones. As you walk up into the second floor living space, the center of the home is defined by an ellipse which contains the powder room on one side and the wet bar on the other. There was also an arched portion of the wall defining the kitchen, so we demolished only part of this wall, but left the arc, so as not to disturb the integrity of the original architecture. The remaining arched wall of the kitchen is home to a set of organically shaped, custom concrete and wood shelves (the owner's creative vision), which were scribed to follow and accentuate the curve of the wall.
